Why have I received 30 or 40 of these postings? I am now simply deleting them without taking the time to open them. However, I don't want to miss any actual message. Are you aware this is happening?

Yes, TechNet has a digest version. The name is "TechNet-d" and you can 
subscribe by sending the message <to: [log in to unmask]> with <subject:
subscribe> and no text in the body of the message.
