I have not experienced the resin beads but it is good to keep in mind
for future reference. A good filtration system should capture most
anything suspended in solution. The main problem with most plating
tank filtration systems is there's really no way to "suck" up
everything off the tank floor. Any disturbance reaching the bottom
will kick up debris which may eventually end up on the PCB. A general
rule is about 3 turnovers per hour.

Suppose you're plating in an acid copper bath and notice particles from
vacuum filtration in the lab.
You then arrive at the conclusion these are resin beads that have
fragmented out of the DI unit.
What are the ramifications?
Has anyone seen this?
Can they be filtered by bath recirculation?
What is the normal turnover (recirculation) time in an acid copper bath?
Thank you in advance,
Chemist
