        Wesley,
        
                Mil-Std. 2000 (A) only specifies the minimum .008" solder
connection height if the component has bottom only terminations.  Most LCC's
have bottom and side castelation/termination which eliminates the
requirement for the .008 spacing.  See 4.23.5 of Mil-STD 2000A for
clarification.  I see no reference to specific spacing requirements in the
actual Mil-Std 2000 (16, January 1989).
