Ron, I chaired a session at SMI '96 last fall that covered this. You should
get a copy of the SMI'96 Proceedings (contact Surface Mount Technology
Assoc 612-920-7682) and read the papers. One was on OSPs, and another on
noble metal finishes, and I think the 3rd was general life of both
finishes, but can't swear by it from memory. I suggest you contact Enthone
OMI and see if they have some copies of independent studies that address
this.
