The only way we know that there is an ESD problem is when we return known
bad circuits to the vendors and the microsection the parts until the can see
what is contained in the plastic. I have yet to have one NOT come back as
Electrical Over Stress (EOS).
The thing that they cannot tell us is how much it took to damage the parts
to the extent they were damaged or whether or not it occured during assembly
of the pc board, final assembly of the product, or in the field.
I know this doesn't help but anyways....
