   SUBJECT: SUBSTRATE MATERIAL

    Eli,
We have used Nelco N4000-6 for a couple of years now,
specifically on Mil work, but also for a customer who insists that
he needs a high temperature system to enable REWORK of BGAs. The -6
system is epoxy, and as such processes in a similar way to the
lower Tg materials, but with a modified (longer) press cycle. Our
drilling and desmear parameters were set so that they would cope
with this material as well as standard FR4 without any changes, but
it may be necessary to make your desmear slightly more agressive.
