We do not have a problem with slivers when using 1/2oz foil.
However we do have one customer who uses an ultra sonic cleaning
process during assembly. This created some slivering. We have gone to
1/4oz material on outer layers for that customer.

Hello,
Please post information, experiences, and anecdotes, on using
electroplated gold as an etch resist. In particular how is the etch
rate controlled. How can the undercut be reduced to eliminate the
chance of slivers.
(Gold/Nickel/Copper/FR4 :The copper gets etched)
Thanks
Rich
