          Hi Technet!

My purchasing comrades need to purge old PWB stock items.
They would like to know what the rule of thumb is for shelf
life of fused tin/lead coated PWBs. Now, I've seen
assemblers try to solder four year old PWBs and they didn't
succeed very well. But I couldn't give them a definitive
answer for this question. Is their any IPC documentation
          available or any other references.

Dave Hillman has already offered to do a SERA test to check
the tin oxide, but accountants don't understand that.
          Thanks in advance.

          Regards,
