We are looking at puchasing a reflow oven for low volume periodic use. We need
more throughput than a batch oven, but nothing like a large contract house.
I don't have to be concerned with speed or throughput, but I do have to
be able to provide a repeatable consistent profile to impress my customers as
far as quality is concerned.
Two ovens I am looking at used presently are:
Knight-Line 416 26" preheat, 30" reflow full convection 1yr old
Vitronics 310 IR 3 top 3 bottom zones
The used equipment dealer says he can sell me the VItronics for the same price
-around $4k canadian as the Knight line. He insists it is a better value. I like
the full convection of the Knight line oven, and also that it is single phase
220, as oppose to 3 phase. I might also use the full convection properties of
the Knight for heat shrinking.
Any comments ?
