Hi
I have come across a sample of brass pins (electroplated with Nickel to 2.5
microns and then a Tin/Lead 60/40 5 micron plating) have a green
contamination at the ends and where they are inserted into a component.
Can anyone remember from their Chemistry whether this green contamination is
a Copper Oxide/Sulphide or a Nickel based salt?
Is it ok to wash with IPA and replate the pins?
Thanks in advance.
