Hello, Matthew.
We have a SIR chamber that we use and the edge connector we use is a
Viking 2VH36/1AN5 8919. This connector has a 0.150" spacing between
contacts. Another connector mentioned in the information I have calls
for a Viking P/N 2VH281C1AV5. Viking Connector Company, Chatsworth CA.
(818)341-4330. This is all old information, but good luck.
This connector is for a Bell Core coupon, not an IPC so be sure to
check the on-center distance. Being an edge connector the thickness of
the sample is limited also.

IPC,
I am an intern for INTeL Corporation and I am currently working on a
project that involves the measurements of the Surface Insulation
Resistance(SIR) of PCB's. The project has been broadened recently and I
have come to the conclusion that the current methods are taking too long
and are too sloppy.
So here is the deal.
The SIROMETER has 22 gauge wires which are connected to the pcb's. The
coupons we are currently using are B24(I don't know where INTeL got
them, but my supervisor suggested to contact IPC.ORG on the web to look
for help). Well, soldering the wires to the edge connectors of the
PCB's just isn't cutting it. It is a painstakingly long process and
resoldering is very messy and will impede with the integrity of our
results.
The question - Do you know of any type of connectors or adapters or
small jumper cable type things that would make this connection simpler?
I am probably going to drop by Homebase tomorrow to see if they got
anything that would work. Just wanted your opinion.
Thanks for your time!
