Matt,
I forgot to mention that we use our printed board N/C driller/router for much
more than traditional printed board base materials. We use it as a precision
N/C drilling/routing/machining tool all types of materials and parts. With a
good experienced operator, they can program (cutter type, feed and speed) the
machine to drill/route/machine most plastics and metals (thermal and thermal
set plastics, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and various combinations
thereof). With care/experience in programming, it doesn't beat-up
(excessively wear) the equipment. Because of the high-speed spindle
characteristics of the printed board N/C equipment, they have far superior
capabilities over traditional machine shop N/C equipment for some products.
If you wanted, you could fabricate the previous response on fabricating you
own "PCB Grid Boards?" yourself probably using you own equipment.
