                                       Surface Mount Technology"

By: John Morgan, Manufacturing Engineer FORE Systems Inc.



John Morgan has extensive background in assembly of surface mount 
circuit boards. His education includes a bachelors degree in 
Mechanical engineering and a Masters of Science degree in Industrial
Management. John has 13 years of experience with surface mount 
technology, working for high technology manufacturing companies. 
John's work history includes Motorola, Sun Technology, Atlantic 
Design, and GTE.

Following the Surface Mount Technology presentation there will be a 
Three Rivers Designers Council discussion on an organizational plan.
An outline of the proposed plan is as follows:

  * Create goals the the Three Rivers Designers Council
      ex.   1. Set up the Three Rivers Designers Council as a 
               chapter of the IPC. 
            2. Organize meetings, arrange for guest speakers
            3. Distribute information on meetings, maintain 
               attendance.
            4. Create an election for chapter officers.

  * Form a committee of 6 - 8 members, to achieve goals.
