TESTING, IS IT TESTING THE LIMITS OF THE PWB MANUFACTURER?

Verification of the quality of a PWB through electrical testing is an 
essential but expensive part of the manufacturing process.  As component 
connection land and PWB feature sizes decrease, the cost-effective and 
technical limits of traditional testing approaches are quickly reached.  
Other testing approaches can contact the small feature sizes, but are 
entirely too slow to cost-effectively handle significant volumes.

The California Circuits Association (CCA) is hosting two (2) half-day 
conferences on Electrical Testing of Bare Boards.  May 7, 1996 at the San 
Jose Hyatt in San Jose California and May 9, 1996 at the Holiday Inn 
Gateway Plaza in La Mirada, California.  Cost of the conference is $125 
for CCA and IPC Members and $175 for non-members.

Included in the panel are speakers from both leading industry suppliers 
and PWB manufacturers - Paul Benke, Zero Defects, Dana Korf, Zycon 
Corporation, Ed Shea, Applied CAM Engineering, Joe Creeden, Intertrace, 
Carl Zimmermann, CK Technologies, Randy Allinson, Probot, August
