Subject: National Compliance Assistance Workshops

In anticipation of the July 1, 1997, reporting deadline for Form R and Form A
(also known as the annual certification statement) under EPCRA Section 313,
U.S. EPA's Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics is sponsoring a three-day
compliance assistance workshop to be held at ten locations across the country.
The workshops are open to industry, federal facilities, and other interested
parties, and focus on the EPCRA Section 313 Toxics Release Inventory (TRI)
reporting requirements. A variety of hands-on exercises using the Form R and
associated guidance materials are used to help participants understand the TRI
reporting process. Below is a list of scheduled workshops.

April 1 - 3 in Dallas, TX
April 8 - 10 in Denver, CO
April 15 - 17 in Reston, VA (Washington, DC metro area)
April 23 - 25 in Southfield, MI (Detroit metro area)
April 29 - May 1 in New York City
April 30 - May 2 in Worcester, MA
May 13 - 15 in Atlanta, GA
May 20 - 22 in Los Angeles, CA
May 21 - 23 in Seattle, WA
May 27 - 29 in Kansas City, MO

To register for a workshop please call (301) 907-3844, extension 260, or fax
(301) 907-9655. When registering give your name, address, phone and fax
numbers, and the course you would like to attend. Notification will be sent
to each applicant regarding their acceptance for the training session. There
is no registration fee for this training. If there is insufficient interest
