Dear Colleagues:
A consultant has called me asking whether Hydrochloric Acid, contained in flux, is released when PWBs are dipped into molten solder. He is attempting to conduct a toxic impact assessment of a PWB manufacturing facility and would like to know whether HCL emissions result from this stage of the PWB manufacturing process.
Any information you can provide will be appreciated. I will forward all info to the consultant. Thank you for your assistance.
