On 7-8 May 1996, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) will
hold a workshop on "International Standardization of Occupational Health
& Safety Management Systems--Is There a Need?" This workshop will be
held at the Rosemont Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, near O'Hare
airport.

The purpose of this workshop is to help develop a U.S. position on
whether the International Standards Organization (ISO) should pursue
development of an international OSH management systems standard, similar
to ISO 14000.

If you would like more information on this workshop and a registration
form, please contact either Star Summerfield at IPC ([log in to unmask], or
phone 847/509-9700 x347) or ANSI at 212/642-4922.

If you cannot attend this workshop but wish to contribute your opinion,
please contact Christopher Rhodes at IPC ([log in to unmask]; ph 847/509-9700
x306; fax 847/509-9798). IPC will be glad to present your viewpoint at
this workshop.
