Hi All,

It appears that the Maryland Senate has vetoed the expansion of the
required elements of TRI reporting. The vote that I reported on 3/20/97
was a test vote, with the 3/22/97 vote being the "final" vote.

"Senate Rejects Toxic-Chemical Reports [Maryland General
          Assembly]." Washington Post, 22 March 97, C5.
The Maryland Senate rejected by a vote of 27 to 20 a bill
to
require industries to provide more information on the
toxic
chemicals they use. Opponents argued that the bill would
               hurt Maryland's economic development efforts.
