Mr. Johnson,
We had a consultant do a RACT analysis on our LPISM VOC emission
controls in circa 1993. That study showed that water scrubbing was the most
economical at approx. $1600/ton of VOC controlled. (Thermal incineration was the
most costly at over $13,000/ton!). These costs included an amortized cost of the
capital cost of the equipment in addition to the operating costs. However, the
installed cost of a water scrubber are less than $100K. Lee Wilmot

I am with International Polymer Systems, a company developing adhesives,
coatings and resists that are environmentally friendly. Our goal 100%
solven elimination. We are looking for information on the cost for PCB
manufacturers to handle solvent emissions from liquid photoresist and
soldermask during application and soft-bake. Cost of ventilation,
scrubbers, etc.
