The U.S. EPA Statutory Integration Team provides EPA top management with
information, analysis and advice on the need for and possible mechanisms
for better integrating federal environmental statutes. EPA formed the
Statutory Integration Team in response to a request from the Senate
Appropriations Committee.

The Team is now developing several illustrative case studies to
characterize the effects (good and bad) of the current statutory
framework and resultant regulatory system.

The Team is looking for information on how statutes and regulations
affect any of the following multi-media or multi-statue situations:
**an industry, industry sector, plant or facility
**a community or region
**a substance or pollutant
**a resource or ecosystem

If possible, any information you provide should include assessments of
overlaps, conflicts, gaps or fragmentation across statutes and the extent
to which they affect the ability to prevent or solve environmental
problems.

Any information is welcome. The deadline for submitting information is
15 April 1996.

To submit information or for more information, please contact:
