We tried to "scan" all of our MSDS into our network - but the scanner did
not recognize the scientific notations and symbols on the MSDS. They looked
a mess when we were finished. We are now in the process of entering the
data by hand in "Block Form" for ease of locating the information you seek
(3/4 complete). I have seen an ad for the MSDS on CD-ROMs but we determined
it was cheaper to tailor the database to our specific needs (roughly 250-300
MSDS's).

Subject: MSDS on disk
HI TEKNETTERS,
Here at Waytec we have been thinking about putting all of our
MSDS documents in a standard database on our internal network.
It seems to me that this would be so much better and easier than any
current system someone must have already done it.
Is there anyone out there that has converted all their MSDS's to
electronic data.
How much trouble was it.
Is the IPC or some other organization working on this.
Thanks in advance for any info.
