Merix bonds FR4 as well as other materials to 3003 and 3010. We
have 8-10 years of experience mixing different dielectric
materials in high volume. It works very well when mixing critical
high speed signals (usually Analog RF) with other signals (usually
Digital). The Rogers 3000 series materials work very well because
of their stability. Most other PTFE based materials shrink like
crazy.
The stackup will need to have balanced materials and thicknesses
to prevent warp. ie: if you have .010" of 3003 between layers 1
and 2, you also need .010" of 3003 between layers n and n-1.
There are various bonding materials that will work, and others
that will not.
Give me a call and I can give you more information.

| A customer is asking.....
|
| Does anyone bond FR4 to Rogers 3003/3010, how is is
| done and does it work?
|
| Also, Pressfit technology, does is work with rigid
| polyimide?
|
|
| Thanks
