I am looking for information on the basic sources for epoxy resins. I
read that about 75% of US epoxy resins are manufactured by Shell, Dow
and Ciba-Geigy. Are these petro based? I understand that some resins are
derived from wood pulp. How do these differ? More "flexible"?
Manufacturers make various claims, and I am having trouble sorting out
what is what.
