IPC-RB-276 has test procedure which was written around the bed-of-nails
bare-board testers.
The test requirement is basically as follows
1. Test continuity and shorts using IPC-ET-652 with the folowing
parameters:
A. Resistance of any circuit shall not exceed 50 ohms for Class 1,
or 20 ohms for class 2 and 3. For lengthy circuits specify what
you need.
B. Isolation resistance shall be greater than 0.5 megohm for class 1
and 2.0 megohms for class 3. Voltage is selected is sufficient
to provide resolution, but if not specified, it is 40 volts.
Presently I have received information that these parameters could not be used
for flying probe testers. If this is so, I would like some advice on what it
should say so that the flying probe could be used per this specification
could be used.
Thanks
Phil Hinton
