Michael,
You might try a quick wash of the boards in a 3-5% solution of Envirosense
Envirogold 816. This is a saponifier / surfactant material, but in past
studies we have performed, the surface metalization seems to brighten up,
indicating a reduction in oxides which may interfere with solderability. For
