Sarah,

There are some CAD software suppliers listed on page 36 of IPC-D-317A,
perhaps one of these can assist you.  Alternatively, I do remember a
paper presented at IPC Expo '94 by Abraham Ash, Altron, and Dick Eico &
Bob Evans, Berg Electronics, "A Systems Approach to Impedance Control",
P7-4.  I believe they were doing research on a software modelling program
that allowed for inclusion of different materials.  Perhaps you can
obtain a copy of this paper from IPC.
