Yes.
This is not a good practice. "Dissimilar metals" should not be used in
seperable electrical connectors. The result can be a cathode-anode
corrosion because tin and gold are far enough apart on the
electronegativity series to be a long range problem.
Wherever you heard concerns, they were right; not sure migration is the issue.
This is specifically prohibited by Bellcore and others. You would be better
off with a tin-lead socket for a tin-lead finished lead.
