Several years ago there was a company called Daisy whose CAD system
was called "ACE".  Daisy purchased Cadnetix, called themselves
Dazix and still used "ACE".  Intergraph purchased Dazix and eventually
upgraded the "ACE" product to "ACE+".  Intergraph has now split off its
CAD department into a new company called Veribest.  Veribest is a complete
abandonment of the "ACE+" system.  I think ACE is gone forever.

ACE was a schematic capture system.  It didn't do Gerber files.  Daisy's
board-layout software was called "Boardstation".  We used the ACE schematic
capture software, but never did our layouts in boardstation.  Instead, we
sent ACE generated netlists to other vendors for board designs in PADS, etc.

Intergraph had a good board layout tool and integrated that tool with ACE
for a time.  I believe the intergraph board-layout tool was called "Design
Engineer".
