The corner crack data is very well depicted in IPC-RB-276 Figure 7 and Table
10 and is perhaps clearer than the examples shown in IPC-A-600. As RB-276 is
the document from which IPC-A-600 takes its info, it should be used to as the
controlling document.
The answer to your question is that B cracks cannot extend into the plating
for Class 2 and 3
