IPC volunteers are currently developing a design standard for PC cards
(PCMCIA), but it is not moving along very fast. We had one member ask the
question "why are we developing a separate standard for these? They are
virtually the same as rigid printed boards, but on a smaller scale."
Perhaps the committee has discovered this, and thus explains the waning
interest in developing the document.
IPC does not have any effort underway to develop a fabrication spec
specifically for PC cards.
