Besides turbulent flow at the nozzle, you may be getting viscosity increases
due to a fast evaporating solvent or your boards may be too warm when being
sprayed.  This type of problem is seldom due to a contaminant on the surface,
but don't rule it out. There could be some sort of additional outgassing when
the surface of the mask softens due to the solvent in the conformal coating.
 More information is needed.
