You did not mention if your solder has been analyzed for contaminates. The
most troublesome contaminants are copper and gold. The following limits
should apply:
.25% for copper and .08% for gold. The combined total should not exceed
.30%.

Could anyone out there help with the explaination of why after wave
soldering that there will appear a gold film mainly on top of the PWB?
Some of our inspectors are concerned and question what this substance
is?
