Mr. Hart:

Suggest that it might be a heck of a lot easier to control developer pH, and
thus speed will remain constant.

There are many folks on the market that supply pH controlled feed and bleed
apparatus to keep pH in developer constant.   Developer solution is so cheap
that that this change pays for itself in improved yields.
