     _______________________ Subject: Footprint Pattern
     Larry,

I saw your message (below)...did you get your answer??
What system are you using ? Does it not support alternate part usage?
     Does it support manufacturing clean-up?

I'm a pcb designer. I have a customer that needs the option of using
either a .3 wide or .4 wide 32 pin j-leaded part in the same location.

These are only prototype boards and small quantity. Probably won't be
     reflowed.

     Question:

In order to accomodate both parts the footprint is going to be extra
long. What problems will be encountered soldering the part to the
board? Will the solder wickup onto the j-lead properly?

     Any suggestions?
