We are presently working with CAM-CAD for windows.   It has a very basic
editor, but it can convert gerbers to other formats (dxf for acad, ect..) we
also use GCPREDITOR, but i find that cam-cad is much easier to use.  Cam-cad
is available thru Router Solutions Inc.,  I believe if you contact them they
can give you a pretty good demo program.
