I am looking for a protocol of sorts to help me in communicating through a
one directional parellel port.  Most notebook computers do not use
bi-directional parallel ports, so I want to be able to use the status lines
of the port to communicate on.  My boss told me there is already an
establised protocol for such communications.  Does anyone know of such a
protocol or where a better place to look for such a protocol might be?  If
so, ANY advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
