Electronic Design Engineer

Location: South Carolina
Company:  Fiber Optic component manufacturer

Accountabilities:

*Design, prototype, qualify and transfer to production  micro-
processor/microcontroller based boards for optical network elements.
*Interface with international development team during system specification
definition, codevelopment of projects and modification  of cards for the
American market.
*Select and qualify suppliers to design and manufacture boards power supplies
and power distribution  panels in coordination with manufacturing.

Necessary background:
*B.S. EE
*4-7 years experience in the design, qualification and transferring to
production SONET equipment, experience in Intel microprocessor family and the
96x microcontroller family, programming in C and assembler.
