Hello---

Currently, at my company we rely on multiple checks (buddy
system) to verify the correct material is being used during
multilayer lay-up. We know that is not completely effective
because of human error. We are investigating automated or more
reliable methods of material verification. Weight verification,
thickness verification, automatic prepreg dispensing, and machine
vision are some of the ideas we are considering.

Does anyone out there have any experience with any automated
material verification method during the multilayer lay-up process?
Can you share with me some pros and cons of your system.

Thank you
