Even as an old jarhead, I would think a nice collectible with his rank on it. And of course, as he gets promoted through the ranks, a new one can be given to represent each rank. Something like a challenge coin, a nice shot glass, etc.



And no Dwight, we can't give these damn kids a Wog Day shillelagh! Some things just cross the line. (get it? cross the line?)

A completely non-technical question for today, but I know we have a number of veterans on the list.  My son David, a 1st LT in the Army (tank

commander) and of whom I am obnoxiously proud, would like to get a suitable gift for my nephew and godson, Asa, who was just newly commissioned as an Ensign in the Navy.  For you Navy vets out there, what would a suitable gift for a new Navy Ensign be?
