Hi Steve,
When I was at Ametek, in '00 - '04, we had a MY19. I don't know what happened with that machine, but I hope you didn't end up with it. We were moving from a leased building across town, and hired a moving crew to move our shop. The last to go in the moving van was the MY15. When I watched the guys strap it against the wall, with one strap, something just didn't look right. I stopped the mover and told him I thought they should use more straps and did he know the thing weighed almost 3 tons. He said, "no, it's just fine". Before closing the trailer door, they pulled the truck up 10 feet or so, and that's when I saw the machine bust through the strap and swing across hitting the other side. I really thought the machine was going to roll right off the truck!
Well, we had some damage, had it repaired and had many problems the next few years. That's what I mean when I say I hope you didn't end up with it! Good luck.

Hi all,
I'm trying something with Google photos where you can share multiple images with a link and I want to see if this works.
We had to have Mycronic (Mydata) come in for our MY19 as we had something going on with the motion. Our technician here noticed metal particles in the bearing lubrication of the head which ain't good. The machine has
60,000 hours power on time, so it's been around awhile.
Got the drive belt off and then started looking at things, we were shocked and at the same time grateful for what we discovered. The toothed roller on the left hand side of the drive was full of radial cracks and was close to coming apart and no telling what would have happened if it did. The Mycronic field service engineer said he's never seen anything like it and he's been with them in excess of 25-years. Said belt replacements occur somewhere between 30,000 - 50,000 hours, but he's never seen a roller crack like this:
