My esteemed colleague is referring to one of the more obscure half
fractional elements, Catmium-48.5 (Ct-48.5), not to be confused with
Cadmium-48. Catmium is an integral part of feline DNA, imputing
significant characteristics to felines. Catmium allows felines to totally
ignore anything, especially their “owners”, at will. Dogs have no Ct in
their DNA so do not share this affliction. Due to the nuclear events in
the locations Dave mentions, there have been excess concentrations of Ct in
felines in that area. The Chernobyl Lumi-Cat glows in the dark and you
cannot come within 500 meters of one without radiation poisoning. The
Alamagordo Hairless Desert Cat has no hair, extra long claws and is MEAN.
Think of it as a nuclear powered Tasmanian Devil. The Enewetak Coconut Cat
has a hairy but very tough outer shell. The Thule B52 Devil Cat is the
worst of the bunch. Pure white in color, gives off no thermal signature,
but can claw a B52 to shreds in under 3 minutes. Imagine it as a pure
white Hulk, but in cat form. These mutant cats, provided you can capture
them, are used as radiation sources in niche radiological analytical
methods, most of them classified.

Catmium was first isolated by Dr. Fritz Oppenheimer, 3rd cousin of Robert
Oppenheimer, in a remote location (still classified) as part of the
Manhattan project. Dr. Oppenheimer had a mild allergy to cats and when
exposed to a sample of the refined Catmium broke out in world record levels
of hives and essentially scratched himself to death. Tragic.

So, Dave, what do I win this week.
