Subject: [External] [TN] Element Quiz Question

The Question:

The pure form of this element was not achieved until 1937 and commercial applications did not occur until the 1970's. The global production of this element is approximately 15 tons per year. The main application of this element is a constituent addition for some aluminum alloys for minor aerospace industry components. These aluminum alloys were used in the Russian military aircraft, specifically the MiG-21 and MiG-29. Lacrosse sticks are also made with this alloy. Name the element being described?
