Steve,

Maybe a Light Pipe? If the area is dense, you may not have room for the posts.
If you do find a way to do this, I'd certainly be interested in hearing about your solution.

Best of Luck,

Steve

Subject: [TN] Raised Parts

Good Morning:

We have an application here where our customer wants us to place two different height 0603 LED's (.027", .037") at .150" above the board. I'm thinking they want to do this to allow the LED's to protrude through an opening in a mounted front panel. The area where the parts are populated is very dense and I'm thinking my only option is to maybe purchase some high temperature solder blocks to put under the terminations to get to the desired .150" dimension. First of all, I'm not sure if this is even feasible and secondly, I was wondering if anyone has come across this and could offer some help. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Steve Vargas
