Yes, controlling static cling on the cover tape is essential for 0201s. If the overall humidity cannot be controlled, or if it affects paste printing rheology, it is sometimes a good idea to place an ionizer right over the pick/place feeders.

Here is what I got from the component manufacture  



We recommend that the customer check and control the environmental conditions during the pick and place process. Low humidity conditions can aggravate static electricity on the components and cause "jumping" from the carrier tape after removing the cover film. In particular, relative humidity is strictly maintained at 40-70%.





We are not meeting the humidity requirements
