Here is the Element Quiz Question:

The Question:
Alchemists in the Middle Ages knew about minerals that contained this
element - when exposed to sunlight, the minerals would glow making them
attractive for use by witches and alchemists. This element produces a green
color in fireworks, signal flares and tracer rounds. This element is used
as a radiocontrast agent for Xray imaging as far back as 1908. This element
is used in the manufacture of beet sugar and soap. Which element is being
described?

The Answer:
The element is Barium (Ba). In the Middle Ages, small white stones found
near Bologna Italy would continue to "glow" after being exposed to
sunlight. These stones were barium sulfate which is a major source of
barium metal. Barium sulfate is also used as a radiocontrast agent in X-ray
imaging of the digestive system.

Week 51 Ravinder Ajmani, Western Digital
- I have a hectic week ahead, and I can really use help from the boys. I
don't know much about their computer skills, but I need to carry out lot of
simulation work. Since the work is mostly routine, I am sure they can pick
it up fast. Then there are ESD measurements to be done. Since we are
closed on Monday, they can enjoy long weekend with their families, and show
up on Tuesday.

Week 52 Leland Woodall
- I'm going to have the boys to review the new IATF 16949 standard, and at
the end of the week they can give me their take on how we're going to make
the transition from TS. This will be an arduous task, as they usually get
to just play while they're here. This time it's gotta be straight-up
work. I've already apologized to them in advance...

Week 53 Scott Decker, UTAS
- As I mentioned, I submitted the answer in conjunction with a co-worker
that will be able to use one of the guys, (not sure who will do what just
yet) to help him move from his office here in Phoenix, to Winserlocks CT.
for a bit. For me, I'll have whichever one he doesn't pick, help me out
with some things on a PCB update that has a lot of stuff to fix. I may also
have him work on getting a couple of other boards ready for review.
Regardless, they are going to be busy this week, I hope they don't mind
being separated for a bit.

Week 54 Leland Woodall
- assisted with ????

I hope everyone has a awesome week!
