Here is the Element Quiz Question (let's see who is fast):

The Question:
This element is named after a pioneer in quantum physics, also known as
"the father of the atom". Which element is being described?

The Answer:
The element is Bohrium (Bh)! As with several of the transactinide elements
(elements 104-113) there was quite a dispute who was the first to discover
bohrium. In the end, the IUPAC named element Bohrium in honor of Niels
Bohr, the "father of the atom". Niels Bohr was an amazing physicist with
quite the life story. One interesting fact: In April 1940, early in the
Second World War, Nazi Germany invaded and occupied Denmark.[ To prevent
the Germans from discovering Max von Laue's and James Franck's gold Nobel
medals, Niels Bohr had George de Hevesy dissolve them in aqua regia. In
this form, they were stored on a shelf at the Institute until after the
war, when the gold was precipitated and the medals re-struck by the Nobel
Foundation.

The winner of the quiz is Fred Cox, Bluering Stencils and he will get the
services of Clumpy and Kloumpios for the week. Fred - let me know where you
are located so the boys can get on the road.

Fred just beat Doug with the correct answer! And yes, since Doug submitted
two responses, his half fractional element submission was not reviewed by
EQAB.

So far Clumpy and Kloumpios have done the following:

Christmas. I'm so far behind it's not even funny!

Week 45 Frank Kimmey, VeriFone Inc
- Leland, take 'em both, I have to travel next week and the boys can be a
pain when by themselves (like getting into mischief)

Week 46 Ian Fox, Rolls-Royce Control Systems
- Oh goody, plenty of microsections to do on some long term thermal cycle
samples so that will keep them busy for the week. And a happy new year to
all in TechNet land.

Week 47 Fred Cox, Bluering Stencils
- assisted with ????

I hope everyone has a awesome week.
