Generators have increased costs when run at higher purity and pressure.
Some shops the N2 is a higher pressure other lower than the compressed air.
Some of the selective solder machines use N2 to run the pneumatic functions.
If the pressure is low there re a lot of low pressure calls.
Turning off the generator over the weekend can result in long start up
times waiting for the purity meets spec.
Generator ran 3 waves, 5 reflows and 4 selective solders.
Min. Purity level depends on what you are soldering and solder used and the
ability of the machine to maintain a localized inert atmosphere.
I found Immersion Sn the toughest to solder on selective when I used SAC305.
The generator is very cost effective if there is no bulk LN2 on site.
