Hey, that desert area is not for sale! We here in Arizona are holding on to it just in case there is a shortage, we can at least control and ration out sand to the manufactures as we see fit... (Kind of like De Beers and diamonds). Besides, Intel has dibs on a lot of it I'm guessing???

Last week I heard an interesting story NPR radio, claiming that there is an upcoming global scarcity of sand.
Seems like most good deposits are being mined out for concrete. This is starting to become a concern for people such as silicon wafer producers amongst others.
Anyone hear anything similar?
