"... but it is up to you to find what meet the requirements, e.g. fine pitch device more susceptible.."

This is a key statement. What I get from this is there is compiled/"known" info out there but where to find it.

As for the rad hardening, each vendor got different part number for the part, TI definitely got list, but it is up to you to find what meet the requirements, e.g. fine pitch device more susceptible.. you really have to pay attention for the redundancy, one recoil cascade can knock it all out if two elements are close together... etc. Best of luck for avionics,  ‎not like you can get it back for repair and overhaul.   Best luck.

Far as I know we are supposed to be dealing with GIDEP, will take another look.

Thanks,

Did you get access to gidep? Not sure what is the status of the program now. If it still active, it might help.

Subject: [TN] Preferred Parts List help please

Hi,

We have not yet figured out just how we are going to sort COTS parts by safety/mission criticality based on rad tolerance and longevity etc. We don't even have a preferred Parts list so I'm looking for recommendations for where to start. It's a big question, are there reference lists of COTS parts available that I can cross check with the parts we are using? Is this something that only a dedicated/experienced component engineer usually handles (We don't have one. While I'm a +35 yr experienced layout designer charged with this high level process I'm not a EE or CE level).

Any advice/insight is much appreciated, thank you
