Here is the Element Quiz Question:

The Question:
This element is a key constituent addition in a number of steel alloys.
This element is also used for glass making furnace metal electrodes because
of its high melting point. A mine in Norway containing the ore from which
this element is extracted was opened in 1885. The Greek word meaning
"lead". Which element is being described?

The Answer:
The element is Molybdenum (Mo)! Moly-steel has a wide range of commercial
uses because of it ability to withstand high pressure and temperature
changes. A mine in Knaben Norway still extracts molybdenum containing ore.
Pure molybdenum is used for piping of molten zinc due to its dissolution
resistance. The element derives its name from the Greek word "molybdos"
which means "lead" as it was believed that the mineral molybdenite was a
variety of lead ore.

The winner of the quiz is Tom Brendlinger and he will get the services of

- The boys spent their weekend playing golf, and then enjoyed the NCAA
tournament games. Since they were in NC, they rooted heavily for UNC, and
their cheers were probably a deciding factor in the game. They were also
quite curious as to how folks could grow to be so tall.
